Show Notes

One of the "emerging trends" of 2022 (in response to the COVID-19 pandemic) include women's issues in the workplace. Today, my friend and fellow therapist, Kali Wolken, joins me to talk about career issues and how they overlap with mental health issues. We focus on specific ways women can better support themselves (and other women!).  We also talk about stepping away from a job, volunteering, and how self-esteem is woven throughout. We hope you find meaningful things in this episode!

Here's a bit of info about Kali:
If I had to pick a single quote that represents my perspective on career journeys it would be from J.R.R. Tolkein's The Fellowship of the Ring: "Not all who wander are lost." Life is full of twists and changes and the unexpected, and sometimes, we find ourselves wandering more than we'd like. We worry that we've become lost on our journey, but I believe we may just need a new perspective. As a licensed counselor in the states of Indiana and Michigan, I love supporting individuals in their career journeys. Prior to opening my company The Lookout Point, I served clients at Still Waters Professional Counseling for 11 years. My favorite part in working with people is hearing their story and knowing that a little outside perspective and direction can help clients recognize how their past impacts their present and how they can make informed decisions about their present to shape and direct their future.
